Health, Vision and Dental Insurance
Blount Memorial offers several cost-effective options, and these benefits are available to employees and their dependents. Employees who regularly work at least 22.5 hours a week or more are eligible for these benefits.
Vacation/Sick Leave/Holidays
We offer a generous accrual of these benefits that are based on hours paid. Employees who regularly work at least 22.5 hours or more each week are eligible.
Tuition Assistance
Understanding that continuing education is a top priority for employees, we offer a tuition assistance program for full- and part-time employees.
Retirement Program
Employees may start their own pre-tax contributions immediately after a consultation with our independent financial advisors' representative. After one year, Blount Memorial will begin contributing a percentage of each employee’s base salary and match up to a portion of the employee’s contribution. These benefits are available to all employees who are older than 21, and who work at least 1,000 hours during their first year of employment and 780 hours each year following.
Life Insurance
Full-time employees are eligible for paid life insurance after one year of employment. The employee's base salary is rounded to the next $1,000. Dependent Coverage: $2,000 on spouse and $1,000 on children from 6 months to age 19 or beyond if a full-time student, dependent on you and unmarried; $500 coverage for children 14 days to six months.
Long Term Disability
Full-time employees are eligible for paid long-term disability after one year of employment. Benefits begin 90 days from the date of disability, and employees receive up to 60 percent of their monthly incomes.
Employee Assistance Program
CONCERN, Blount Memorial's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers free assessment, short-term counseling, referral and follow-up. Services are provided to Blount Memorial Hospital employees and their family members.
Bereavement Pay
Up to three days' absence with pay for death of family member (spouse, parent, parent-in-law, child, grandchild, brother, sister, grandparent, son- or daughter-in-law).
Parking
Free parking is available in designated employee lots.
